271–273 Alfred Street is an emerging mixed-use development located in the heart of North Sydney, progressed through the Housing Delivery Authority planning pathway to help deliver new housing where it is most needed. The project provides a significant number of new homes, including a dedicated affordable housing component, contributing to a more inclusive and balanced city centre.
Residential uses are integrated above a carefully designed podium that supports an activated ground plane, incorporating publicly accessible spaces and through-site links that improve pedestrian movement and connectivity. The design prioritises slender tower proportions, and high-quality living environments, ensuring strong access to daylight, views, and comfort for residents. Its proximity to rail, metro services, and key civic infrastructure supports convenient and well-connected urban livings. Public domain upgrades and improved pedestrian connections form a central part of the proposal, delivering lasting benefits for the wider community.
